Salaa El Dine is an "international" sire in the best sense: It’s hard to find a country without a son or a daughter of him. From Egypt (the National Champion Filly Ansata Helwa) to Qatar (the refined Farida of Sheikh Abdulaziz), from Sharjah (the recently passed away multi-champion Crusader) to Kuwait (the former Reserve National Champion Stallion frpm Sweden, Shahin), from North America (the champion siring Shahir) to Australia (Salaa Sihr of Pearsons View Arabians). All over the world Salaa El Dine is known for siring foals of type and outstanding beauty! The German Arab Horse Society awarded him with the Elite title!

A dominant breeding stallion, a dominat pedigree! His dam Hanan (Alaa El Din x Mona, Inshass) gave birth (besides Salaa El Dine) to three significant stallions: Ibn Galal I, who was chief sire at Babolna/Hungaria, Jamil/Jamilll, the 1985 U.S. National Top Ten Stallion (and top breeding stallion) and the Australian "wonder of motion and type", Asfour. They are a testimony of her brilliance and prepotency. Salaa El Dine’s sire was the unsurpassed Ansata Halim Shah - a stallion with a world-wide reputation. In Salaa El Dine the blood of the two foundation mares Hanan and Ansata Bint Bukra (Halim Shah’s granddam) was united and this created a sire of international calibre.

Salaa El Dine is senior sire at the Katharinenhof Stud and enjoys the privileges and perks attached to that title. His most dominant personality traits are his attidude and presence. He is the King of the farm and everybody has to respect that! There is no question - either you do it his way or it doesn’t get done. But he also needs the companionship of people - of "his" people, to be precise. That’s typically "Arabian"!
