FACTS

Coaltown, black as his name implies was born and raised in the United States. Being one of the last remaining sons of the immortal Ruminaja Ali, he continues his famous sire line in Europe. Brought to Italy in 1994 Coaltown had a limited show career during which he was named Italian Reserve National Champion Stallion. When you combine a beautifully chiseled head with perfect "coal" eyes, a powerful but elegant body and bold movement that presents a picture of outstanding presence, it is no wonder Coaltown enchanted horsemen in both the USA and Europe. Coaltown is gaining influence and notoriety through his sons and daughters who are proving to be
excellent producers themselves.

PEDIGREE

Coaltown's family is one of the largest and most important families in modern Egyptian breeding. He is a perfect example of the successful blending of American and European lines. During a time when literally hundreds of popular champion horses from all over the USA were vying for the National title, his sire Ruminaja Ali won 1979 U.S. National Futurity Colt and later went onto become 1983 U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion. Coaltown's full brother The Minstril has been one of the top USA show horses and most significant sires of the last decade. Coaltown's dam, the true black mare Bahila, was famous for her correct yet refined structure and her reaching trot. In the tail female line she traces back to Bint Samiha, the celebrated dam of Nazeer. When you observe his pedigree Coaltown is "double" Alaa El Din and evident in his elegant silhouette is the influence of the Bint Rissala line.

PERSONALITY

For those who love the picture book Arabian, Coaltown is the personificationof Walter Farley's "Black Stallion"! When gazing at his harem he is animated and alert, every inch the charismatic creature that makes him special in the eyes of his many admirers. Coaltown is both soft and kind with his foals and his humans. In his pasture he transforms into a really playful character. The prophet maintained that the black Arabian was the bearer of good fortune and you see in many of Coaltown's foals that good fortune: They posses the same people orientated dispositions that greatly assists them in being reliable companions as well as successful endurance horses.
