FACTS

When you are the "little" brother of the legendary Ruminaja Ali your life is a constant challenge! Alidaar not just followed in his brother's footsteps, he became an accomplished show horse and sire in his own right. The tall and elegant stallion has an excellent
reputation on several different continents. Born in the USA and honored there as an "National Top Ten Futurity Colt" in 1987, he boarded a plane to Europe in 1991. In France (in the ownership of Ursula Poth) he set new standards at his first public appearance by commanding the highest scores for "type" and "head and neck" ever awarded to a horse in the French showring. The audience was spellbound. Alidaar made a significant contribution to European breeding programs. Before his exportation to Qatar he stood at stud in  Germany and left some excellent offspring. Today his influence is felt on a global basis: The 2002 Supreme Champion Stallion of the Egyptian Event in Lexington/Kentucky, The Orient Express, was produced by an Alidaar daughter. In Europe his multi-champion sons Classic Shadwan and Classic Rayan are producing outstanding progeny and his young sons and daughters in Qatar already collected some titles. The most recent success of his daughter Al Angha Al Rayyan as the Junior Champion Filly of the National Show in Qatar came as no surpise at all!

PEDIGREE

The mating of Shaikh Al Badi (Morafic x Bint Maisa El Saghira) and Bint Magidaa (Khofo x Magidaa by Alaa El Din) was made in heaven. In fact, all of their offspring made it to the top. Shaikh al Badi's dam Bint Maisa El Saghira was the first Nazeer daughter who won National honours in the United States. Her trademarks were high-stepping action and a high-set tail who was like the "banner of the prophet". She won in both halter and performance and was one of the best ambassadors for the newly imported horses from Egypt. She had her date with destiny with the ethereal Morafic (Nazeer x Mabrouka) and produced the very special Shaikh Al Badi, who later became a "U.S. National Reserve Champion Futurity Colt". Bred at Gleannloch Farms, he became the foundation sire of Russ and Mildred Jameson's "Ranch Ruminaja" and sired nearly 700 foals. Bint Magidaa (also bred by Gleannloch Farms)  was the first foal of her sire Khofo and his most influential daughter. Khofo (by Morafic) is the second source of Morafic blood in Alidaar's pedigree. At her home in Texas Bint Magidaa was treated like Queen Mum and behaved like she owned the world. And indeed, her influence is world-wide!

PERSONALITY

Alidaar can shoot you down with just one look. His ego is as high as a mountain and he knows exactly what he likes and dislikes – and he get the message through. He doesn't like to get touched by strangers – but "his people" can do everything with him.
